Use MOD Video Editor for Mac to Capture Video Clips

MOD Video Editor for Mac allows you to cut your movie, so you can capture your favorite clips from your movie.

Click to open the Trim window, and follow the steps below to capture a clip from your movie.



There are three methods to set trim time:

Method 1: Enter the start time in the Start Time box and click OK, then enter the end time in the Set End Time box and click OK.

Method 2: Drag the scissors bars under the preview window when you want to trim, then the time will be shown in the Start Time box and End Time box for your reference.

Method 3: Click when you want to begin your trimming. Click where you want to stop your trimming.

After you set trim time, the length of the captured clip will be shown in the Select Length box for your reference.

Use MOD Video Editor for Mac to Adjust Video Effect

MOD Video Editor Mac OS X allows you to set your movie effects.

Click to open the Effect window, then you can adjust settings according to your need.

Brightness: Drag and click the Brightness adjustment bar to set the brightness of the video.

Contrast: Drag and click the Contrast adjustment bar to set the contrast of the video.

Saturation: Drag and click the Saturation adjustment bar to set the saturation of the video.

Tips:

When you convert the interlaced video formats such as 720i, 1080i, for you to obtain better output videos, you can set the Deinterlacing function to avoid the mosaic.

720i stands for resolution of 1280x720 pixels and the magic little 'i' means that the video is in interlaced format.

1080i refers to an interlaced HDTV signal with 1080 horizontal lines and an Aspect ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1).

Use MOD Video Editor for Mac to Crop Video Play Region

Mac MOD Video Editor allows you to remove the black edges around your movie video and customize the size of video play region.

Crop Your Video

Method 1: Crop by adjusting the crop frame
The crop frame is the red line around the movie video. You can drag the red line to change the width and the length of the frame. When the mouse cruisor changes to hand pointer, you can drag to adjust the position of the frame.

Method 2: Crop by setting the crop values
There are four crop values on the lower right part of the crop window: Top, Bottom, Left and Right. You can set each value to crop your movie video, and the crop frame will move accordingly.

Method 3: Set the Zoom Mode
You can also set the output aspect ratio from the Zoom Mode according to your need. There are four choices available: Keep Original, Full Screen, 16:9 and 4:3.

Keep Original: Keep the aspect ratio of the crop size.

Full Screen: Stretch your cropped video to fit for the aspect ratio of the resolution setting.

16:9 : Stretch your cropped video to fit for the aspect ratio of 16:9.

4:3: Stretch your cropped video to fit for the aspect ratio of 4:3.

Note: After you crop your video and set the zoom mode, the result can be previewed in the Preview window of the program main interface.

TIPS:

1.You can adjust Video Encoder, Resolution, Frame Rate, Video Bitrate, Audio Encoder, Sample Rate, Channels, Audio Bitrate, For Resolution, and you can also input your own one if the provided can not meet your needs. Then the well-customized settings can be saved as User-Defined profile for your later use with directly choosing it.

2.If you want to join the selected contents into one file you can click the button in the main interface. As default the merged file is named after the first selected file.
